Choose your words carefully. A single word or a phrase uttered in anger, in carelessness will lead to a mountain of regrets

In a small village by the river Ganges, there lived a young boy named Arav. He was known for his intelligence and sagacity. One day, in a rare moment of frustration and predicament, he spoke harshly to his friend, Mohan. Everyone around him was shocked.

Mohan was hurt, and the friendship that once bloomed like a lotus in the sun began to wither. Arav, realizing the pain he caused, sought forgiveness, but the words had taken root in Mohan’s heart.

The village sage, witnessing the discord, assembled the young ones and imparted this wisdom: “Even the tenderest foliage of the sacred fig cannot reclaim the whispers of the breeze. Once uttered, words are beyond recall. Let your speech be like the nurturing drizzle that fosters growth, not the tempest that lays waste.”

Arav regret made him realize that he has to be mindful and learned that words, once released, cannot be called back and the wounds they cause may never fully heal. From that day on, he chose his words with care, ensuring that he never caused hurt.

A wound inflicted by an arrow heals, a wood cut down by an ax grows, but a wound inflicted by harsh words does not heal. Arrows of different sorts can be extracted from the body, but a word dart cannot be drawn out, for it is seated in the heart.
